✿Agent Carter 2×10: Hollywood Ending✿

way late, but here’s a quick review of the season finale of Agent Carter. Overall, it was kind of disappointing, imo. Probably because we’ve had 2 hr normal weeks, with more suspense, and more time. More time to get into it, and stuff, yanno? and this was shorter, and less exciting, i guess. kudos to this review for helping me remember the episode.

First off, Jason is alive!! yayyyyyyy!! And at the end of the episode, we find he is planning to work with/for Howard Stark, so hopefully he’ll be happy 🙂 He’s a cool character.

We find out, that Manfredi is actually friends with Howard. It seems he’s attacking, but suddenly he’s best buds with Howard.. a relief, but a bit confusing. Anyway, Howard is pretty funny in the episode — not always funny in a nice way; funny in a very Howard Stark way, if u know what I mean.

The end is a little more intense… they need to close the ‘rift’ and to do so they’ll have to go into a dangerous area close to the ‘rift’, risking their lives. They discuss who should risk their life, and turn around and realize Sousa is doing it. Everyone struggles pulling him out, which includes Howard making jokes about ‘thinking unsavory thoughts’ about Peggy. Funny, but somewhat rude. See what I mean about Howard Stark humor? Peggy starts getting ready to back to NY. Jarvis asks her why, why wouldn’t she rather stay? For reasons (see: Sousa). Peggy says she’s got everything back in NY– her job, her roommate (cue me melting bc peggyangie y’all. just a mention of my angel gets me HYPED), etc. Anyway, Peggy decides she’ll go ahead and stay. She goes to Sousa, and they start making out. Well, not right away, it starts with a simple kiss. Now, Sousa/Peggy is great and all, but I ship Cartinelli too much for me to really enjoy it. Sadly, at the end, Thompson is shot and killed. Now, I know he’s kind of a douche, but still. Ugh 😦

 

Let’s hope Agent Carter and Peggy get renewed for another wonderful season!

✿Agent Carter 2×08 + 2×09: The Edge of Mystery + A Little Song and Dance✿

okay okay so there was an actual musical number??? with a cameo by Angie, which was the greatest. (but we need more, we always need more, mORE ANGIE/PEGGY 2k15!!!!) and Dottie was in it too — but that was all we got of her in the episodes, which was really depressing. Seriously, Agent Carter, where are my girls??? but the number was AMAZE. and like i’m totally gonna buy it when it comes out on iTunes ok bc it’s so gOOD. it’s like am i watching Agent Carter, or Glee? but i loved it. and there was another Glee reference, i have GOT to stop doing that, geezus.

Jarvis was so worried about Ana this ep, like could a more perfect couple exist>?!! (well, yes, but these two fit together so damn perfect) he even sHOOTS WHITNEY(/agnes) bc he’s so hellbent on revenge. poor baby. eventually, after an emotional argument with peggy, he goes back to Ana’s side adhkljdm. but ana can’t have kids.. which like isn’t so bad i don’t think?? but jarvis puts off telling her for a while bc i guess he thinks it’s bad?? idk man.

Thompson is (i guess) pretty evil. the tides kept changing this ep, sometimes he seemed evil, sometimes not so much, but in the end he’s not the coolest guy, you could say that. but during all the tricks and turns, he and Sousa both say “do as Peggy says!!” a reference to s1, basically the recipe for my death. i wish thompson wasn’t on this bad path rn, and i believed / wanted him to be good (like, i guess they need more villains, but Thompson!!!) , but no. so.

jason is with Whitney, and on her side at least somewhat. he ends up going into this zero matter portal. Whitney is hella jealous — “WHAT ABOUT ME??????” but. and anyway he comes back and Whitney ties him to a table and wants to like harvest the zero matter out of him. and he’s feeling increasingly unstable like something bad is gonna happen. Peggy later comes to rescue him, but he knows he’ll just cause harm so he stays. and then he blows up :c that’s basically how the episode ends. and i know this pretty much means Jason is dead but i mean who know??? maybe he’ll come back?? and maybe i’m just holding on to false hope but that’s really not the point.

✿Agent Carter 2×06 + 2×07: Life of the Party + Monsters✿

These episodes were really intense! And awesome, as always! This won’t be in order things happened, just my thoughts sputtering out.

First of all, Ana was shot! :O It was super sad 😦 She’d just been bonding with Jason, and when she found out that he was missing, she ran outside to look for him. Then she was shot. I shipped Ana/Edwin so damn much in these episodes, omg. He was so scared the whole way to her, and when they got to her he was freaking out. Later he’s in the hospital with Peggy, and he’s just an absolute mess :c I really hope she’s okay, for her sake and Jarvis’s.

Jason cured himself, and all was going well– although I don’t think he was cured forever, but definitely good for then. He kissed Peggy as soon as he could, which was absolute cuteness. He had a nice dinner with Ana, and I totally ship them platonically. Whitney/Agnes came to kidnap him, and their dialogue was pretty amusing, although I’m not quite sure why. Jason is just so normal, where as Peggy and Sousa and stuff are more professional and used to field work, at least. Whereas Jason is more ??? and I like that. I hope he gets rescued!!

Peggy had to have Dottie help her in this episode. Dottie was so hilarious. Literally everything she says is funny. She’s so awesome omg. And I totally ship her with Peggy, like kill me now. This episode would have been nothing without her.

 

Jarvis is hilarious, when he and Dottie were undercover, and he had to talk to Thompson and stuff was great. And when he was saying ‘abort’ into his glasses– best ever.

Peggy and Sousa had a bit of a thing… He told her about the fact that Violet had broke off the engagement, and they almost kissed. Jarvis was teasing Peggy about it later (he’d been listening in though the glasses) and she confessed that they were both great guys, and she didn’t know what to do. Jarvis and Peggy are the best friendship ever tbh.

 

Well, those were my thoughts that I could remember from those eps. Double episode tonight, too!

✿Agent Carter 2×03: Better Angels✿

Agent Carter is awesome, you guys! Expect this post to be short and sweet– because (like always) it’s a week late, and I (sadly) forgot a lot of what happened. BUT I may glance at other reviews for a little idea. Also, only one pic this post bc i’m FAR too lazy to find good pics/gifs and link accordingly, tbh. sorrs.

 

First of all– Jason Wilkes is back!!! Yayyyyy!!!! yay!!1 BUT BUT BUT he’s only part there– he can be seen, but not touched– Howard is able to get him this far, and they plan to fix him eventually. But yay, he’s back!! I so wasn’t ready for him to be gone so soon, and him and Peggy have awesome chemistry, like dang. 

 

Howard was in this episode, being his playboy Tony-esc self, but he’s pretty entertaining, and I loved how Peggy was all like “Howard’s a good boy!” that part was amazing. And it was funny how Peggy was all “a movie based off a comic book sounds stupid” but that’s where she first appeared (aside from comics themselves, i mean) and that’s basically what her show is now. (except, you know, it’s a show)

 

Whitney Frost is evil as always, she’s not a good person, and I don’t quite like her… but she’s interesting, like how she cried to get her husband to do stuff for her, even when he obviously didn’t want to. Now, I’m always on Peggy’s side– I don’t want Whitney to win– but if we get some more insight into her actions, now, that wouldn’t be half-bad.

 

There was a hint of a weird-something with Jack Thompson… a maybe HYDRA bound sort of weird-something. Which, okay, I’m not a fan of Jack, but I’d still like him to NOT be HYDRA. Like, there was a moment (when you say to yourself, ‘oh there you are, i’ve been looking for you forever’) in s1, where he had PTSD and like I think he has some redeeming qualities, even if they’re buried in all the bad ones.

 

So, that’s that! Here’s to hoping I don’t wait so long to review this coming ep.

 

Let’s also hope I can restrain from making any more Glee references on this blog. I mean, god, Victoria, get a hold of yourself.

 

Anyway, let’s have fun watching AC tonight!!
